Wholesome & Healthy Vegan Waffles
Updated: Apr 4, 2020
A healthy take on the traditional waffle, not too sweet with a nice little cacao-ing touch.
Low in sugar and fat, rich in dietary fibre, complex carbohydrates and omega 3 fats.

Ingredients:
•3 cups rolled oats to make 2 1/4 cups oat flour (simply blend rolled oats)
•2 tbsp cacao powder
•2 tbsp sugar
•1/4 tsp baking soda
•1 tbsp vanilla essence
•2 tbsp flax
•1 1/4 cup soy milk
•¼ tsp salt
Method:
Turn on waffle maker
Blend rolled oats in a blender until it’s in a fine powder form.
Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Once all ingredients are mixed evenly and the waffle maker is hot, place your fist scoop in.
Remove when completely cooked.
Serve with all of your favourite toppings: mine were banana, peanut butter, blueberries, hemp seeds and a touch of maple syrup.
This recipe made 2 x waffles as big as the one pictured.
