Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

A tasty and healthy snack to help you stay on track.

All you need is:

•1-2 cups of chickpeas (drained & rinsed well if using tinned)

Season with your favourite spices or whatever you have hiding in your cupboard.

A few flavour suggestions are:

•Cayenne pepper and ground paprika.

•Roughly 1/4 tsp of curry powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper + 1 tsp of olive oil.

•Garlic powder, a dash of salt, pepper and chilli.

After rinsing the chickpeas, season with spices then place on a baking tray and pop in the oven for approx. 20-30 mins or until they are nice and crunchy.


Like all legumes, chickpeas are low in fat, contain important minerals such as iron and provide valuable amounts of dietary fibre, complex carbohydrates + protein.

Plus, you can buy a tin of any sort of legume for under $1.

That’s one cost effective snack!
