Looking to sub out your unhealthy snacks for a healthier alternative?

Give these quick kale chips a go! It might change the way you look at kale forever 😮

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch kale

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Seasonings such as: Paprika, cayenne pepper, garic powder, salt etc.

Method:

  1. Simply remove the kale leaves from the thick stalk and place them in a large bowl.

  2. Lightly coat with a dash of olive oil (roughly 1 tbsp per bunch of kale - so not much at all!)

  3. Season with your favourite herbs and spices such as paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, a dash of iodised salt, even some nutritional yeast

  4. Give them a quick mix to make sure they’re evenly covered, place them on a baking tray and pop them in the oven.

  5. Let cook for approx. 10 - 15 mins, until crispy but not burnt.. keep an eye on them!

Nutrition Information:

  • One bunch of kale will make about 6 servings (give or take) which will provide just under 60 calories per serve! This will make a drastic difference if switching from regular packet potato chips.

  • Plus, kale is rich in various nutrients such as vitamin k. Vitamin k is a fat soluble vitamin, so the addition of the olive oil will help it to be absorbed by the body!
