Easy Home-Made Tomato Pasta Sauce


Make your own simple and delicious tomato sauce at home. 


A great way to use up bulk tomatoes or simply transform them into a wholesome sauce.


All you need is:

  • Tomatoes

  • Garlic

  • Onion

  • Olive oil

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Herbs such as basil (both fresh or dried are fine)






 

Simply place a pot over medium heat, saute onion and garlic in a dash of extra virgin olive oil until translucent.

Add the tomatoes and your choice of herbs to the pot, cover with a lid and let simmer on a low-medium heat for around 30 minutes or until tomatoes have reduced into a sauce.


Remove from heat and you’re done! Add to some freshly cooked pasta.


*You can also use tomatoes that may seem like they’re slightly past the fresh edible stage - maybe they’re looking a little worse for wear and you don’t want to put them on your smashed avo - save the food wastage and pop them into a pot instead!
