9 Simple steps to your best breakfast yet.
This is my absolute all time favourite way to start the day and.. eating chocolate every morning certainly doesn’t seem to get old!
This breakfast is packed with so much goodness and provides a balance of slow releasing carbohydrates, good fats, and plant protein.
Furthermore, it supplies a plethora of important micronutrients setting you up for a great day ahead.
The best bit? It literally takes under 10 minutes to put together. Probably even under 5.. or maybe even 2 if you're a whiz.

Steps:
Place 1/2 cup rolled oats in a bowl. >Make sure they’re rolled and not the quick oats which have all the good stuff removed.
Add 1 tbsp. ground chia seeds. >Go for ground as opposed to whole ones to allow your body to digest them properly.
Add 1 tsp. of cinnamon (leave this out if you just want it to be extra chocolate-y)
Add 1 tbsp. of cacao powder.
Add 2 pitted dates (or 1 medjool date).
Add 3/4-1 cup of your choice of an unsweetened dairy free milk. >Try to make sure it contains 300mg calcium per serve. >Mix it all together thoroughly.
Cook in microwave or in a pot on the stove for a few minutes.
Add blueberries - my second go to is a banana (or go for whatever else you like!)
Add 1 tbsp. of a natural nut butter. >My favourite is almond butter which gives you some extra calcium too!

This can also work as a GREAT time saver for breakfast on the go in the mornings!
Whether you have an early start, or just don't have time/would rather get a few extra mins sleeping than preparing breakky.
All you have to do is throw all the ingredients together the night before (without cooking) give it a good mix and place in the fridge. All ready to grab and go in the morning.
(I’ll add the blueberries and nut bitter in the morning).
Enjoy :)
