The food is quite traditional and tasty, the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful too.

A very small little cafe offering a completely vegan western style menu.

I would highly recommend the lasagna!

Sujata vegetarian restaurant

kyoto

Completely plant based restaurant that offers vegan Japanese and Indian food. The food is inspired by the owners mediation teacher and aims to promote peace through food.

Expect a delicious home- style cooked meal and very friendly staff!

cafe phalam

kyoto

This cafe serves up an array of vegan meals and baked goods. A great space which also offers soy milk for your coffee.

Haus st. anton

nozawaonsen

This cosy cafe offers a handful of vegan options.

If you're after a soy latte and vegan cake, they can certainly meet your needs there!

They also make oyaki which is a traditional bun filled with vegetables or local produce - the vegan options are apple and red bean (and coincidentally enough the two most popular flavours)

I would highly recommend trying both!
